The X-Men are attempting to return home on a near destroyed Black Bird after a battle with Magneto. Also, Professor X and Jean Grey try to keep Wolverine alive after his adamantium skeleton was ripped out by Magneto. The X-Men finally return safely home and Wolverine is slowly recovering. Later, Wolverine trains in the Danger Room and finds out that he was born with bone claws. The next day Wolverine leaves the X-Men because he now longer feels fit for the team.
